Can I edit existing PDF text with this tool?

Edit PDF focuses on adding annotations - new text boxes, highlights, drawings. Changing existing paragraph text in place is Edit PDF Text's job - click native strings and modify while preserving font/size where detected. Use Edit PDF for sticky-note style review; Edit PDF Text for typo fixes on born-digital PDFs.

Will my annotations appear in Adobe Reader?

Exported PDF includes visual markup most viewers display - exact annotation type support varies. Flattened export behaves like printed markup - non-editable shapes on page. If recipients need comment list panel, verify export mode in preview. Simple highlights and text usually universal.

Is the PDF uploaded while I edit?

No. Page rendering and annotation state stay in browser until export. Legal review markup never needs JoyPDF server storage for this tool.

Can I edit scanned PDFs?

You can draw and place text over scans - underlying scan pixels unchanged. You can't select scan text without OCR PDF first. For typo in scan, OCR then Edit PDF Text or redact wrong line and add text box.
