For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"):

• "Service" means the JoyPDF website at joypdf.app and all tools, features, and functionalities provided therein.
• "Provider" means the operator of JoyPDF at joypdf.app.
• "User" means any individual or legal entity accessing or using the Service.
• "Account" means a registered user profile created through our authentication system.
• "Content" means any files, documents, or data processed through the Service by the User.

By accessing or using JoyPDF, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any applicable supplemental terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of JoyPDF, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

JoyPDF provides a suite of browser-based PDF tools, including but not limited to: merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, signing, redacting, translating, and AI-assisted analysis of PDF documents. The Service also includes premium features available through paid subscriptions.

All core PDF processing operations are performed locally in the User's browser. Files are not uploaded to our servers unless a specific feature explicitly requires server-side processing (e.g., AI-powered tools), which is clearly indicated to the User at the time of use.

Certain features of the Service require account creation. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

You must notify us immediately at contact@joypdf.app of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Process documents containing illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, terrorism-related content, or content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service
• Introduce malware, viruses, or any harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without prior written consent
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate termination of your account and legal action where appropriate.

The Service, including its design, code, logo, trademarks, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by the operator of JoyPDF and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of all Content you process through the Service. We claim no ownership or license to your files or documents.

The JoyPDF name, logo, and brand elements belong to the operator of JoyPDF. You may not use these without prior written permission.

JoyPDF offers premium subscription plans with additional features. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. All fees are stated in the currency displayed at the time of purchase and are non-refundable unless required by applicable law or our Refund Policy.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect the current billing period.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any output generated by our tools, including AI-powered features.

You acknowledge that no tool can guarantee 100% accuracy in PDF processing, conversion, or AI analysis. It is your responsibility to verify the results before relying on them for critical purposes.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE OPERATOR OF JOYPDF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (c) any matter which cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law, including mandatory EU consumer protection regulations.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operator of JoyPDF from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

These Terms shall be governed by applicable law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.

For EU consumers: Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably may be submitted to the Online Dispute Resolution platform of the European Commission at ec.europa.eu/odr.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email or a prominent notice on the website. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you disagree with any changes, you must stop using the Service and may request deletion of your account.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
